Matt Horn is president/owner of Matterhorn Nursery in Spring Valley, New York. He holds a degree in Horticulture and Landscape Architecture from Cornell University.
Matt and his wife Ronnie, envisioned a nursery in the fishing ponds that today run through Matterhorn Nursery. From its inception more than 30 years ago, the nursery has become known for its Matterhorn-grown plants and commitment to quality and consistency. Presently, Matterhorn is an internationally recognized and award winning garden center. Matterhorn’s landscape division plans and implements many noted installations, including designs serving as the backdrop for the Today Show at the Rockefeller Center in New York City as well as the installation of the Macy’s Flower Show 2002-2006.
Matt served as ANLA’s 2006 Retail Division President and has played an important role in the planning of the ANLA’s Retail Roadshow. Matt lectures frequently throughout the United States on topics relating to horticulture, water gardening and landscape design. He has taught at the New York Botanical Garden and at the Cary Arboretum and frequently appears on the B. Smith with Style Show.
