March 2010 ANLA Update
The recent signing into law of historic health care reform legislation has brought a renewed national focus on events here in Washington, DC. With a shift in Congress' attention, ANLA's government relations team looks to several key issues, and threats, for our industry.

Craig Regelbrugge and Corey Connors, are ANLA's lobbying team representing ANLA's members and the nursery and landscape industry on Capitol Hill. This winter 2010 legislative and regulatory update was provided to a member's-only gathering during the MANTS tradeshow in Baltimore. Craig offers his first hand view of the atmosphere on Capitol Hill and in the White House, and how it impacts the prospects for immigration reform legislation. Corey shares his efforts to have green infrastructure legislation introduced to secure real dollars dedicated to trees and landscape plants and encouraging both homeowners and communities to invest in the landscape.
