The Horticultural Research Institute is investigating future research initiatives to guide the organization's priorities for the next 5 years. HRI is seeking participants from all segments of the green industry to complete an online research assessment survey. All participants who complete the survey by May 31, 2013 will be entered to win an iPad mini.

ANLA and HRI need ALL Green Industry members to help set our research goals and priorities for the next 5 years. HRI seeks grant applications for FY2014. The May 15 deadline is approaching! HRI particularly seeks proposals for research focusing on:

• Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) in nursery crop production systems;
• Regulatory issues and emerging opportunities in the nursery and landscape industry; Environmentally responsible management practices;
• Research that increases nursery crop producers' business and financial expertise;
• Research that expands the market for plant material.
