Grassroots Resources
The "How" Part of Effective Grassroots
When it comes to legislation and regulation, there is a fine line between having your views heard and having them ignored. Knowing how to communicate is half the battle in any grassroots campaign. By learning to become effective advocates, green industry professionals will move the industry's agenda forward like never before. Materials available here are designed to help green industry business operators to effectively communicate industry concerns with the decision makers who will influence the future success of nursery and landscape industry businesses across the nation.
Listed below are links to resources that can help ANLA members and Lighthouse grassroots program participants prepare to interact with elected leaders and government officials. There is also a table of contents link that provides a directory of the various approaches and methods used in an effective grassroots campaign.
The goal of the Lighthouse Program grassroots partnership is to have all association partners and their member participant businesses enabled to directly influence the legislative and regulatory processes. More than ever, broad participation is critical to having our voice heard in Washington!
